The perfect low-carb crunchy cracker option to enjoy as a snack! Top with cottage cheese, avocado and tomato, hummus or tinned fish!
Ingredients
½ cup sunflower seeds
½ cup pumpkin seeds
¼ cup sesame seeds (black or white are fine)
½ cup chia seeds
½ tsp salt
1 cup water
1 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
Method
Heat oven to 170C bake.
Place all ingredients in a bowl and mix to combine. Leave for 15 minutes for the water to soften the seeds and for chia seeds to bind everything together.
Tip seed mix onto a baking paper-lined oven tray and spread out as thin as possible (around 0.5cm thick). Bake for 30 minutes.
Remove from the oven and slice into crackers, then return to the oven to cook for another 20-30 minutes until crisp and golden.
Remove to a rack to cool then store in an airtight container.
TOP TIP: You can swap out chia seeds for ground flaxseed for a slightly different taste! |
